A case has been registered in the police station in connection with the death of a contract worker due to electrocution while pulling the LT line about eight months ago in Sai Vihar Colony of Devsaini in Quarsi area of Aligarh metropolitan police station. This case has been registered on the orders of the court, in which the executive engineer and the contract employee have been named.
In the report filed by Ramveer Singh, resident of village Badhauli of Kotwali Atrauli area, it has been said that his son Umesh Chandra, along with contractor Mohammad Khan of Mursan (Hathras), is working in the village Devsaini of Executive Engineer Urban Electricity Distribution Board II area. Was working on preparing the line. On August 11, 2023, Umesh Chandra along with his colleagues was doing the work of pulling the wires of the LT line. It is alleged that due to negligence, Umesh Chandra died due to electrocution in the line and severe burns.
Apart from the police station, the victim had also complained to higher officials in this matter. When there was no hearing anywhere, he took refuge in the court. On the orders of the court, a case has been filed on behalf of the victim. According to Inspector-in-charge Quarsi, action will be taken in the matter after investigation. On the other hand, Executive Engineer Rahul Babu said that the employee Umesh Chandra was working on the contract of a departmental contractor. Then the employee died in the accident. There is no responsibility of the department and the executive engineer in this. Only the contractor is responsible for this.
